REQUIREMENTS FOR GUESTS TRAVELING WITH THEIR PETS – CATS & DOGS

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Pets (cats & dogs) must be under the supervision of their owners at all times.
  • Small pets must be at least 5 months old.
  • Maximum weight limit per pet is 55 lbs..
  • Guests must present the pet’s vaccination records at time of check-in and certificate of a complete physical examination by a veterinarian.
  • Guests must bring a pet carrier/kennel.
  • Pets must be well behaved.
  • The use of a muzzle is at the pet’s owner’s discretion.
  • Guests are responsible for any harm or damages caused by their pet to a third party, public property or to any other facility of the resort. The liable party will be charged all expenses incurred to cover the costs of these damages.
  • Pets must comply with local legislation requirements from the state of Quintana Roo.
  • Pets must wear an identification collar and leash at all times, with the exception of when the pet is inside the guestroom where they cannot be left unattended.
  • Guests are responsible for cleaning all waste left by their pets on resort property.
  • Pet owners are responsible for making sure their pets do not disturb other guests.
  • Guests must contact pet services to coordinate the schedule of the food delivery for their pets.
  • The care service in the Pet Club is open from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm (subject to availability).
  • 1st pet is free, 2nd pet has an additional charge of $50.00

PETS IN GUESTROOMS

  • A maximum of 2 pets are allowed per guest room.
  • Each guest room will have special bedding for dogs or cats.
  • A litter box, pooper-scooper and a scratcher will be provided for rooms with cats.
  • Pets should be kept in a locked cage when left alone in the room.
  • Guests are responsible for any harm or damages caused by the pet to the bed linens, property or any staff member.
  • The resort’s designated sanitary areas for pets will be the interior gardens between the villas where they are staying. In this area, scoopers and plastic bags will be provided, as well as bin containers for the disposal of waste.
    Guests must hang the precaution sign “Pets Inside” outside on the doorknob indicating to the staff personnel the presence of pets inside the guestrooms.
  • Guests must supervise their pets while on the terrace of the guestrooms and must never be left alone.
  • No food, utensils or items belonging to the pet are permitted in the terrace area.
  • Guests must contact Express Service to arrange for a convenient time for servicing their room.
  • Pet sitting services can be requested at an extra cost.

PETS IN PUBLIC AREAS

  • Pets must be kept on a leash at all times and under the supervision of their owner.
  • Guests with pets should remain in the pedestrian areas, paths and roads indicated and respect all restricted areas.
  • No pets are allowed in any of the restaurants, bars, pool area, beach, estuary, cenotes, gym, as well as in the deer exhibition area or aviary.

USING INTERNAL TRANSPORTATION WITH PETS

  • The use of internal transportation is available for pets under the supervision and control of their owners, and must be kept on a leash at all times. The owner will be responsible for keeping the pet’s behavior and actions under control.
  • Guests are not allowed to ride bicycles with pets.
  • If requested, pets can be transported by the bell staff to the room and back upon check-in and check-out accompanied by their owner at all times.
